Kent Index is a free Kent-wide classified ads site. It was started by Matthew Brown from Margate. Matthew had purchased the domain for another project that never came to be and felt like he could do something more useful with it than just let it gather dust. Kent Index was started in the hopes that it would be a useful tool for the area and to help people and businesses looking to buy or sell.

Businesses – especially those that might wish to run many adverts (for different products) – can create a dedicated business page with all their key details on as well as a listing of just their adverts.

Adverts can be as long and as in-depth as you wish but only the first few lines and the first image will appear on the home page.

We have a gamified approach to the site. Users get points for posting ads, sharing links, and looking at other people’s ads. There’s a leaderboard for those who get competitive about such things.
